Wild Skills Adventure at Brundage Mountain on Sunday, July 22! SheJumps Wild Skills Adventures are open community events where parents/chaperones participate with the girls. Throughout the adventure, girls are introduced to a range of outdoor skills which include navigation, leave no trace, 10 essentials, and more. We strive to engage all generations in the sharing of knowledge and understanding. Connecting experience, energy and love for our natural places with the technical and survival skills girls need to get out and adventure.

Schedule for the Day
On the day of the event, you’ll register and get your Wild Skills Journal which will help you learn throughout the event. You start the day at the base area with a ‘gear check’ to make sure you brought your 10 Essentials, Leave No Trace fundamentals and a large group yoga session.

At 10:00, we’ll run through a navigation activity to learn the basics of map reading and directions. From there we’ll break into two groups and make our way on the hiking trail that starts from the base area. We’ll stop for lunch around 12:00 and wrap up the event by 1:00pm. This experience will allow girls and their families to put to practice areas of our Wild Skills curriculum including navigation, first aid, and more.

In addition to beautiful views of the Goose Creek drainage, you’ll see peek-a-boo views of the Brundage ski slopes. There are a few nice places to ‘pull off’ and rest for a while, including a beautiful new ‘selfie bench’ at the big mossy tree.
