Outreach has become a large part of what we do, but usually during the school year. So when PLCA4Kids asked us to swing by day camp in McCall and lead a pollinator activity we were buzzing with excitement!
We learned about and practiced the waggle dance! This is how bees communicate to one another when they have discovered a new food. We talked about differnet types of pollinators and then challanged the students to create thier own polinator models using pipe cleaners!
It was a really run afternoon spent learning about some really important critters!
