The Council School District in partnership with the Payette Children's Forest recently received grant funds from the Idaho Botanical Garden's Lunaria Grant program and the Idaho Horticulture Society grant program to improve a pond located in walking distance of their school. The students will create an outdoor classroom and community recreation resource by using these funds to plant shrubs and trees around the pond area.
