Our first ever youth environmental leadership summit will be May 2-8 and like everything else these days, it will be virtual, but there will also be activities you can do outside in your community.
Here is how it will work:
We are creating a website that will host a series of videos, created by an awesome team of local educators, that will teach topics such as presentation building, public speaking, citizen science, leadership skills, and more!
The students will have the opportunity to watch these videos and complete an assignment that will accompany each of them. Each assignment that is completed and turned in to Ms. Bre will be counted as 1 point. For very point the student earns they will be entered into a drawing to win a prize of an Amazon gift card as well as scientific tools (TBD).
There will be other opportunities to earn points such as joining ZOOM meetings with Idaho conservation professionals. The more points they earn the more chances they will have to win the prize. 1 point = 1 entry. For the most part this is a self guided event they will have the week of May 2-9 to complete as many assignments they choose and earn points. After the 9th I will no longer accept assignments.
